Concrete crawlers prance in clear cloak of day
Concealing quick panic in crimson hedges delayed
Crawlers, who crooned of callings and condemnations
Who crept into castles in the cold dead of night
And danced with the crisp doubt of yesterday’s fight
To confer with comrades that once bloomed in may
And return caked in fractions, confirmed faith in the day.
