At the edge of the water sways a primordial grand mother
She has known many wonders that once washed ashore
Staring out to the sea she never wanders far from her core
Her strawflower hair flows, moisture making ringlets of silver
Her eyes fill with dewdrops reflect the wide ocean’s shimmer
Her clear smile sparkles, her voice echoes her heart of water
Spinning and grinning as each step that she makes quicker
Lead by the tide’s rhythm her bare feet are sand’s partner
Missteps never mistakes, she frolics and revels at her own pace
