Rain soaks the worn and weathered earth
Laden with milenia of debris and disgust
Filtering droplets down to it’s molten core
I stand defiant at the edge of the eternal river,
Washing myself in tears of witnessing gods,
Who watch, solum, as sacred shores crumble
Currents sweep away stout and fragile alike
Life leaves the vanquished to be cauterized
Condemned to their ever honeycrisp lakes
Rainy Days
